Hunter mods

While i don't get carried away with addons like some players i know i have found one that I am almost unable to live without. Kharthus Hunter Timers is a little outdated but does the job quite well since it brings a a bar that you put anywhere and shows you the cooldowns and such of all your stings, autoshot and spec abilities that proc or are used and helps me with my shot rotations trying to avoid clipping my autoshot and conserve mana with the application of my stings and when to reapply them without them running out or to fast wasting mana. Just a little info for anyone who is interested.

The most amazing drink any hunter could ever find

Since the introduction of the new raiding formats it leaves little to the imagination that a good balanced group needs to trim the fat and make sure that everyone is using flasks and buff foods just to insure victory. With the ever present need of mana for us hunters i have found the most wonderful thing in the world. FEL MANA POTIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Ya you may have used one and seen the debuff that occurs when you drink them. Fear not friends for as a class that has nothing to do with spell damage or healing this side effect will not effect you in any way, shape or form. I have also found that since it is not an immediate mana boost but is more like an innervate in a can you can drink one right after you have depleted around a thousand mana you can drink and it will keep up with moderate special shot rotations and when combined with aspect of the viper can provide a large mana boost in long fights. Just make sure it doesn't gimp your RAP with not using aspect of the hawk. Flasks and Paladin buff such as kings and might should offset the loss and will keep your dps higher since you will have access to more mana thus allowing more shots rotations. The Key to a good Survival build

Plain and simple...... Gear!!!!!!!! If you don't have the right gear you can't do justice to the spec. In my experience it is not all about stacking agility but finding a balance between RAP, hit rating and agility. True that agility gives you ap, crit chance, dodge rating and armor if you ignore the other two your dps will suffer greatly. But back to gear. Don't get discouraged if you cant find the right sets out there. One of the challenges at being a survival hunter is finding the right pieces to compliment your spec. When i first started experimenting i found that a lot of leather pieces where perfect for the build. Yes it is hard to compete with rogues for loot and it doesn't have any intellect on it since that is not needed for melee dps there are ways around it in the use of potions and such. But in all honesty if you are missing the gear to be a t the top of the damage meters the spec is still great as a utility build since you have faster improved traps and the abilty to reset all cooldowns with the ability resourcefulness. And expose weakness is a wonderful buff for any melee or other hunters since it can provide more attack power than Trueshot Aura.

First day on the job

So with much thought i have decided to start a blog for hunters who are intrigued with the whole idea of a survival specced hunter. I don't know how much time i will be able to devote to this project but hopefully enough to be helpful or maybe even receive some feedback and make myself a better player.
